Job Details
Job Description:
La Dolce Vita! It means “the sweet life” and it’s how things are at Olive Garden – where the authentic Italian dining experience is not only our passion, but the key to our success.

Join North America’s largest casual dining restaurant company – Darden Restaurants – all corporate locations, no franchises.

We are always on the lookout for Managers who believe in sharing the joy of good food and wine with guests and in creating a feeling of family for employees. Managers who also believe in a work-life balance and that managing one of the busiest restaurants in town doesn’t mean sacrificing their own gusto, zest and passion for life. Managers like you!

Examine for yourself just how much we’ll value you as an Olive Garden Manager:

* Competitive annual salary reflecting the market in Alberta – paid weekly
* Annual merit review based on performance
* A quarterly paid bonus that averages $5,000-$10,000 per year
* Medical, dental, short and long term disability, life insurance and continuing education assistance
* After a year of service, RRSP and discounted-stock purchase programs

All Managers begin as Managers-in-Training (MIT) in an extensive, 11-week training program. Highlights include:
Focus on management and leadership skills
Training in each employee position
3 weeks of training in manager positions
A 5 day seminar in Orlando FL focused on skills practice to enhance leadership effectiveness
Transition Training – the final week of training working side-by-side with managers at your assigned restaurant

Olive Garden Managers have the opportunity to embark on a career path which exposes them to all three areas of the restaurant. Upon graduating from our MIT program, you will rotate through three distinct and challenging roles: Service Manager, Culinary Manager and Sales Manager. After meeting leadership standards in one role, you will continue onto another role as you journey towards becoming a potential General Manager.
* Manager Skill Sessions & Emerging Leader Seminars are held regularly throughout the year

Job Requirements:
As a successful manager, you will build, train, schedule and reward your crew and foster excellent long-term relationships with our guests so they’ll keep coming back for more. You will also ensure that all safety and regulatory guidelines are adhered to and participate in various community initiatives to build the Olive Garden brand. Of course, creating an atmosphere of fun, hospitality and energy goes without saying!
